As a school we commemorated this day by making daffodils and placing them around Mr. Wilson’s chair.
Daffodil Day is a Cancer Council annual fundraiser. The funds raised on this day go towards research for improved treatments and cures, along with supporting those battling cancer.
Our Resilience Captains were given the task of organising an awareness activity for this special day. Loui, with the support of her family, organised a fundraising page and lolly bags. Loui was supported at school by her co-captain Brodie. Each student made a daffodil, which was placed in the ground around Mr. Wilson's chair.
At the request of Loui, Mrs. Wilson attended assembly on Friday to help announce the winners of the colouring competition. This fundraiser effort has raised over $1300, of which over $200 was raised at school through the colouring conmpetition and the sale of lolly bags.
