Book Week is being celebrated from 22nd to the 28th of August.

This year we will be celebrating Book Week with a Book Fair and whole school dress up day.

Book Week Book Fair

The Book Fair will be set up in the Japanese Room. Books, note pads and novelty items will be for sale. All books are new and supplied by scholastic. Items costs vary, but begin at $2. We will accept cash or card payments. Students will have an opportunity to look through the Book Fair on Monday the 24th of August and create a wish list.

A Book Fair flyer will be sent home soon.

The Book Fair will be open for parents and students, at the following times:

Our school will receive a percentages of sales, the value of which will be taken as books from the book fair. Students will be able to recommend the books we get for the school library.

The Book Fair is in lieu of Book Club issue 6 which normally occurs in the second half of this term. Book Club will return next term.

Book Week Dress-Up Day

The theme of this years Book Week is 'Symphony of Stories' as set by the Children's Book Council of Australia. This theme gives our students plenty of scope to use their imagination.

The dress up day will be on Wednesday 26th of August. Students are encouraged to come dressed as their favourite book character. We will have a parade in the morning to show our costumes.

A $15 Book Week Fair Voucher prize will be awarded to a winner from each grade. The best costume will be judged on creativity and connection to a book.
